Solid wood flooring can be sanded and professionally cleaned many times to restore and maintain its unique beauty.
Engineered wood flooring is the new kid on the block, initially designed to be fitted over under floor heating. Engineered wood flooring consists of a real wood surface anything from 3mm-6mm thick adhered to a multi layered ply backing board. Engineered wood flooring is available in thicknesses ranging from 14mm-20mm the lengths of engineered planks tend to on average be longer than random length solid wood flooring and because of its increased stability boards tend to be wider. Once fitted it can also be sanded and professionally cleaned many times.
Parquet flooring is a product that provides a very traditional look to any floor area. Mostly laid in a herringbone pattern, these blocks are mainly 19mm thick and come in various lengths and widths. There is a great deal of parquet flooring restoration going on these days with people reclaiming them from floors in old halls and churches.
