WOOD FLOOR FITTING - LETTERSTON

We were happy to supply, fit and finish this French oak rustic grade solid wood floor.

Our client had problems with moisture and damp in the sub floor along with the floor requiring levelling. To compound the problems the sub floor was covered in old tiles that had been stuck down with bitumen.

Our first task was to remove all the old tiles and floor covering. Next we covered the bitumen and levelled the sub floor this was achieved by using Ardex Na self levelling compound.

We then applied two coats of Bona R410 damp proof membrane to ensure that we complied with British Standards BS8203 and BS5325. Both these standards state that the sub floor is considered dry at an erh of 75% or less

The Wood floor and skirting were then finished with two coats of Osmo Polyx raw tint giving a slightly white washed effect.
