Oak Floor Restoration Walton West Little Haven
The oak floors in this beautiful seaside cottage had become tired looking and jaded with the added problems of scratches, animal urine stains, previously poor sanding, and lifting due to poor fitting with little or no expansion gaps.
Our first task was to address the expansion and lifting of the boards as displayed in the image which highlights the lifting. This was over come by cutting 15mm from the edge of the floor.
We then sanded the floor and treated the areas that had become blackened with the ammonia from the animal urine. We had to sand that little bit deeper to overcome and remove the marks and groves left by the previous poor sanding.
The floor was finished with 3 coats of Bona Natural to preserve that just sanded look .
