Solid Walnut Floor Fitting

Due to an old and unsafe heating system our client had to remove the old fire and surround leaving the area and space shown below.

This beautiful solid walnut floor is 24 mm thick and 60mm wide, our client was determined to match it up as close as possible.

Step 1
We contacted our very good friends at James Ratford Bridge who expertly sourced and machined 10M2 to our exact specifications.

Step 2
We excavated the remains of the hearth, levelled off the sub floor with concrete and laid battens for the new flooring

Step 3
We fitted the new walnut strips to the battens by secret nailing and adhesive

Step 4
We sanded the entire floor area using our dust free sanders and finished the floor with two coats of Osmo Poly X Oil
